Is my ADVC 100 broken ??

I have used my ADVC 100 before without issue. I am now having the following problems.

1. No video or audio - even to the outputs. All I get is a black screen with a white line.
2. I am getting a squelching noise as soon as the thing is powered up, as it "boots" us I can hear the actual audio stream for a second before it goes to the squelch.
3. Using WinDV I am seeing nothing on the PC from a preview perspective.
4. If I put the ADVC 100 in test pattern mode - I see it on my monitor through the outputs but nothing through the PC.

Does this sound familiar? Any suggestions?

I would try a substitute power supply. Maybe the original unit has partially died. If not, sorry, not a lot of help. I would also try some different cables. It's a fairly simple device, so any complex problems may be internal to the unit and not easy to repair. My ADVC 100 is still working and it's one of the early models.

But some of our other members may have some ideas.
