As far as I know you can't but you could put the file along with the subtitles in a MKV container using MKVMergeGui. No reencoding and it only takes a few minutes depending on the speed of your computer.
SONY 75" Full array 200Hz LED TV, Yamaha A1070 amp, Zidoo UHD3000, BeyonWiz PVR V2 (Enigma2 clone), Chromecast, Windows 11 Professional, QNAP NAS TS851

Does this mean that the file will be converted to mkv?Because the problem with it, is that i want to play the m2ts file to my HDTV, and it doesn't read mkv files(not to mention the loss of quality).I actually found a program that could integrate the subs perfectly, but the trial version leaves a watermark so i just need to find another option to do it.

Did you try tsmuxer which i linked for you?It will attach subtitles and output as m2ts but the subtitles will be pgs(graphic subs) even if you add srt.

Also there is no loss of quality in what netmask56 suggested and what i advised as it just remuxes to another container,no encoding involved.

What was the name of this program that you tried that did it for you?

I tried with the tsmuxer and it didn't work( i opened both the m2ts and the srt file in the input and then pressed start muxing). This is the program - http://software-download.name/2012/subtitle-m2ts-video/ .It worked perfectly with it, but like i said it has watermark in the trial version, so it's not an option.

Even if there is no loss of quality, the problem that my TV doesn't read mkv files still remains.

THat program burns the subs in the video. Free software can do that also. Like video to video converter, freemake video converter. THey can also output/reconvert to m2ts. You will lose video quality.

    Tsmuxer makes switchable blu-ray subs.

The first program you mentioned did it.Although I noticed that the output file is a lot more smaller than the original.Does this mean that there is a major quality loss?Because when I watched the output it looks exactly the same as the original and I didn't notice any differences.
