  1. Oops, I just found it after initializing the player and workaround.

Just extract "logo.swf" file to logos folder and manually select it.

I didn't know that the logo is a part of the skin as I use an external logo.

By the way, did you report it to the dev?

ps. It can be a skin issue as the external logo.swf works correctly.

It must be a skin issue as the same logo works correctly in "EN [+] v3.1.dsf" skin without using it as an external logo.

The dev said it's an issue with new versions of flash player. In an earlier post I pointed out that it seems the issue is related with the loading logo.

Heh, you think that's bad. Just for kicks I finally updated from 'old faithful' 1.5.35491 to 1.5.40688 and just now 1.5.44221. Despite all the talk in the log of DXVA and VC-1 fixes, for me VC-1 with DXVA now runs like a jerky slideshow. This is made more obvious due to my older CPU (may not effect you guys with the latest h/w), but it used to run fairly smooth. That's why I've always preferred PP. I'm not sure at what stage it was broken, but it's a PITA.

Unfortunately it is a shame. Many programs and utilities now seem to be going to the 'latest and greatest' filters and codecs but that leaves a lot of videos that will not play well due to a number of reasons. I'm with you katipo, I always keep at least one level back that I KNOW works and if I don't get a chance to test well, I keep that version a long time.

Maybe I'm being too hard, it could be the fault of newer versions of ffcodec.dll (FFmpeg team) ?
Out of interest, I wonder how many people use the newer features like 'Game capture', 'FTP playback' or 'Chat' ?

BTW, I've coded a little addon to allow saving custom Video Profiles. It is sort of a complement to the existing control panel you get with most skins (but doesn't require this). My app shows the actual values and full range (more accurate than the on screen perc%). PowerDVD used to have this (still may). e.g. You can select: Original, Vivid, Bright, Theater, Custom (actually all are custom). It's still in development, but I may share if there's interest. I couldn't see any Plugins feature, SDK, or even a Help file with PotPlayer so did this the hard way. It only works with the Software video render as PP doesn't control the hardware video properties.

It may be something different you're experiencing than me. I've found the logo isn't centered only after stop while the playlist is docked, otherwise the logo stays centered (after resize it corrects itself). PP has numerous small things that are off, best you can do is report them to the dev. I've reported several bugs related to OSC skinning.

I did. (Mentioned it a few posts back) Apparently it's fixed in the newest beta.

Yes, there are problems in this latest version with accented characters, I received feedback complaining about it and I also had this problem, I'm waiting for the next version, while I'm using the "DirectVobSub" to read subtitles.

    ↑ SERIOUSLY ↑

LoL, i just had the opposite problem !!! Potplayer couldn't display ALL subtitles, some lines just didnt appear.

Just found out it wos FFdshow and / or Potplayer all along that is causing that !!!

That said, i just don't want to exclude potplayer as possible part of the problem yet !!
Because although latest FFdshow r4527 failed to display all subtitles correct in potplayer, the same problem DID NOT ocure in MPC-HC though !!

Also, check regulary for potplayer changelogs / fixes / Updates!!

    Here u are → http://www.dvbsupport.net/info/potplayer.html

    cheers,

Oh, i have found a fix / work arround for this lil nuisance myself long LOOOong time before you suggested that sherpa

Still, i don't think the "benevolent" developers are THAT dedicated to even bother and read my findings!!

    Let alone fixing it !!

It seemed to be both FFDshow & potplayer issue ALL together !!!

Yep, TiS an MIXED BAG of hicks & tricks !!
But ffdshow takes the cake/biscuit regarding that !!!

    SERIOUSLeeee

I know all versions are betas, and PotPlayer does not bring support translations natively, what you do is use a specific application or resource editor to edit the file PotPlayer.dll
If you want both the application, try to contact them to bring developers support the translation or do as the people who translate it into English (I translate from their version, since nothing understand Korean), type in google for type "resource editor" programs or use programs like Radialix, Multilizer, Lingobyte doing this service.
