Hi
I have a video with sentimental value, recorded with osx Photo Booth, for unkown reasons it hangs and has corrupt frames.
When I open it in avidemux, I can step through all the frames without a problem. I see P frames en I frames.
The first freeze occurs after 26 P-frames at 0:00:01.840 it than jumps to a P-frame at 0:03:27.996
The first I-frame is at 0:03:34.931
So I guess I have to repair the timing, the jump from 0:01 to 3:27 is just wrong I can see that watching the frames.
Converting to another format didn't work. Can somebody explain how to repair this / forward me to documentation.
Another thing that is wrong, is that I see some I-frames that are vertically and horziontal shifted, the surrounding P-frames look ok.
I don't really care about those, all i want is the video play smoothly.
Audio seems ok.
Repair tips with cli tools are also fine, I triedbut the result was the same freezing video.Code:ffmpeg -i movie.mov -vcodec copy -acodec copy out.mp4
In the past I played around with virtual dub and avisynth, So I guess I could dust off a windows machine if needed.

You could also try mpeg streamclip. Both remuxing, file->save and reconverting file->export to mov.
If everything fails you could try treasured.
