Is there a burning program that allows you to see exactly what files will in each layer, before you start recording? With that, I want to avoid having a file cut in exchange layers.
I've tried with Nero and with imgburn, but without success.

Thanks for any kind of help or tips .

If you use something like PgcEdit to set the layer break BEFORE you burn with ImgBurn, ImgBurn will pull it up and give you a chance to preview it. I do not know if something like this is possible if you let ImgBurn set the layer break itself as I have never seen it do that under such circumstances.

  3. ImgBurn should display its layer break selection dialog (with a preview), at least if there are several possibilities for the LB. Its GUI is simple and easy to understand. I don't know if it shows you its GUI if there is already a cell flagged as non-seamless, as it may decide to use that cell anyway. IIRC, it shows you the GUI anyway. So, IMO, it doesn't show you its GUI only if there is only one cell available for the LB, or, of course, if there is no cell at all. In the later case, it issues its "End of the World" error message.

PgcEdit can be used to inspect the LB positions as well. It uses exactly the same method than ImgBurn to determine the possible positions, and to display what it thinks are the "best positions". You can even create an ISO, and burn it with ImgBurn from PgcEdit if you wish. The LB selection dialog of PgcEdit is more complete, and therefore also more complex than the GUI of ImgBurn. If you know what you are doing, it can help you find the best LB with criterions unavailable with other programs. (For example, it shows you the amount of data that will be written on both layers according to the currently selected LB position, and if you have several good possibilities for the LB, you should pick the one that puts approximately the same amount of data on both layers.)

How do we know the OP is not talking about a DL Data burn?

  5. Good question! Maybe because VideoHelp is about video? But of course, we cannot be sure. Indeed, marcos90 asks how to put "files" on layers.
