  1. I get this error when I try to capture using virtualdub above the dimensions 320x240...

Btvid: can't capture at this time. Either:

    A) Capture attempted from full size (interlaced) overlay mode or Quartzsight camera overlay mode. Switch to preview mode to capture.

    B) Memory Allocation Failure. Restart Application.

I have tried switching to preview mode and the video then becomes jerky and when i capture, it comes out as crap. I alos tried restarting virtual dub and that doesn't work either. I can capture with the dimensions 320x240 and under, but i can't capture above those dimension.

    Help would be appreciated.

    Thanx!

  4. You get that error when you try to capture more than 240 lines and overlay is turned on. Turn overlay off and use normal preview and everything should be ok.

  7. I have been struggling with this same issue as well in Virtual Dub - cannot go beyond 320X240 capture.

PIII 1.2g/ 512 ram/ ATI 7200 (64mg vivo) - capturing from VHS or Video Camera.

Video driver is ATI - 6.13.10.6071
    VirtualDub 1.4.10
    Windows XP pro

Have installed the ATI MMC 7.6 because thought the native codecs for ATI card might help but did not.

Video overlay is not selected - Preview is. Where can I tell if I am capturing at more than 240 lines?

Tried an older ATI driver but same result.

Have tried capturing in the ATI MMC at higher res (720x480) for best initial resolution with no problem. Would like to use VDub for filters (noise).

Any suggestions or help greatly appreciated.
