I'm editing some subpics for a menu and importing them in DVDSubEdit, but getting the error "Ooops! The modified encoded subpic does not fit in the available space on the DVD!". I know this means that I made too many modifications and need to simplify it. The strange thing is, the modification that I made wasn't a lot compared to another modification that I made after and it imported fine.
The process: I edited the .bmp file and calculated the total amount of white pixels were and got 12810 white pixels. I made another edit, but didn't realize that there were more pixels this time and got 13372 white pixels. The .bmp file that had 13372 white pixels imported fine in DVDSubEdit, but the other .bmp file that had 12810 white pixels didn't. So this doesn't make any sense at all that I had a lot more modifications in 1 .bmp file and it imports fine, but the other with less modifications didn't. Can someone explain this to me or have a solution?
Examples:
12810 white pixels:

13372 white pixels:

Edit:
Errr......This answered my question: http://forum.digital-digest.com/f14/dvdsubedit-subpic-doesnt-fit-96180.html, but didn't really solve my problem. I ended up creating a new menu with new subpics and muxing them in with muxman. Then replaced my new menu with vobblanker. The guide is here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=99306
