    Could someone please explain what index and open means. I do not think I am entering this correctly.

    VCD Enablement/Region code hack

    VCD Enablement:
    (with music CD loaded)
    STOP
    MENU
    1 (or 9 for US models)
    INDEX
    OPEN
    (then specify to enable or disable VCD playback)

    index is the button on the right off the pause button, open is the one on the left off the mute button, on the 600 anyway
