You're welcome.
Once the script is loaded in A2D, right click on the title / edit source title info / video scan type
type "interlaced"
This will now create an interlaced DVD
The problem is what to put in the script to best apply your effects, the problem is that you can't
apply many (most) filters to interlaced video without severely damaging the quality.
See what jagabo and PDR come up with in the other thread. Might be best to provide a video sample

I'm sure I'm missing something here, but all I want to do is add a menu to an existing DVD folder structure/ISO. I tried loading the VTS.ifo file in the DVD folder, but it looked like the program just hung up and sat there. Primarily I would be taking an existing DVD, either converting from PAL to NTSC or taking a resulting conversion from BDRB with the Alternate Output set to a playable DVD folder structure. But in these cases I will need to add a simple menu or my friend's super old DVD player won't play it unless it has a menu.
So, just to start, how do I simply import/load a DVD folder structure into the program because the VTS.ifo file didn't seem to work.
Thanks! BTW, if there is even an easier was simply to add a menu to an existing DVD structure that would be great too. -

I'm having trouble with AVStoDVD again. Can't seem to find the problem. I used this a week ago on a similar mp4 file and it worked perfectly. Today though with teh same settings the audio is way out of sync with the video. It starts out in sync but by the end of the 2 and a half hour video the audio is at least a minute behind. In the preferences, AVsynth tab, I have FFMpegsource selected for both video and audio, Also using smart selection in the video and audio tabs. Below is the log file....

In your log it shows that the video and audio are different lengths - this has something to do with the source
-
I don't know how that happened. Its just an mp4 video and it plays correctly with everything synced. Can it be fixed?
-
@ Lathe,
I have used this program many times to create a menu.
It is what I use when I want to do a menu for a TV series so the episodes can be selected individually.
TitleWriter
Here are some menu samples I've done:
I just us a black.jpg for the background & choose the font & color in TitleWriters GUI.

It won't open the mp4 in Audacity. The audio is not a separate file.
I record these every fall and usually there is no problems converting them to DVD. The last one I tried using Safe Mode, the audio was not so far off so I think I will just use that and hope it works next week. These are football games recorded from TV using a video capture device.
Thank you so much for your help. Its nice to see people still here. -
@jc8952,
Do you have MediInfo?
Post what it says if you do. From the .mp4 file.
It should show if the video & audio tracks are the same length.
This is how I have AvstoDVD\Preferences set:

here is the screen shot of MediaInfo with my mp4 -
You need to choose View\Text.
Then show the Video & Audio stats.
These will have the length of each. -
