So...I downloaded DVD Flick to start encoding and burning DVD off my laptop. I have my movie in an .avi format. When I bring it up on DVD Flick, my movie took up 98% of space (which I believe is okay!). I customized it like I wanted; chapters, menu settings, etc. I DID NOT check "create ISO image" in the BURNING section because I saw on someone's YouTube not too. So once I clicked "Create DVD", DVD Flick went through the steps and took about 1 and a half hours to encode the video, then it completed everything else, working its way down to FINALIZE. Once FINALIZE was in effect, DVD Flick brought up, IMGBRN software and that's where I got lost. I wasn't sure if I had to click on anything or not?! I clicked "calculate" on IMGBRN and it did some fancy stuff but I left it overnight, and 11 hrs laterrrrrrr, it still didn't FINALIZE or burn!!? What am I doing wrong?? or what should I be doing different!?

I'm moving you to our dvd authoring section. DVD Ripping/conversion is dvd to dvd/avi/etc.
Did it create a VIDEO_TS folder? You can then burn it with Imgburn.
Or use the option to create an iso and burn it with Imgburn.
Or try another avi to dvd converter like avstodvd or convertxtodvd 5. DVD Flick hasn't been updated for a long time now. -
I'm trying it again, only this time I checked off the "create ISO image" box so if something changes this time around, I'll let you know. If not, how do I know if it created a VIDEO_TS Folder and if it did, how do I find it?

i tried dvdflick, i didn't like it, i use AVS2DVD ,
any the steps i use are, created DVD folder
then open imgburn and choose 'build' mode
browse, find and choose the DVD folder
click build
imgburn will create an ISO file from the DVD folder
now when thats done, choose 'write' mode
browse, find, and choose the ISO file of your movie/video
but your blank dvd in the burner
choose the burn speed, i use 4x
and burn the disc
remove disc, place in dvd player and check play back -
So I did everything you said and it seemed to work well only it took a lot less time burning then I'm use too (it was a little too fast!) I took it out and the blank DVD had about 10% of the disc burnt on it (keep in mind my movie is 1 hour and 45 mins long)... I put it into my DVD player and my player said "Error, resolution exceeds 800x600"....???????
