Easiest way to convert 25fps mkv to 23.976

hello guys. i have the first 4 seasons of how i met your mother in dvd but now i wanted to watch these seasons in HD and a friend of mine gave me the first 4 seasons in 720p but i noticed since start of the first episode that something was wrong, and was the frame rate, 25fps. i watched the dvds in 23,976 and everything is different, even the opening song. first i wanted to take the 720p video stream and convert to 23,976 and after add my audio stream from dvd, but it will take so much time, now i just want to convert both audio and video to 23,976. i have success doing it with avidemux but i dont know if quality of audio and video was affected. this method took so long on my office pc, i want something that i select all episodes and it converts fast, maybe in my home pc a 3570k, gtx660ti would be fast.
can someone help me?

buy the blurays it in the proper framerate. no matter what you do to the pal version it will never look and sound as good as the original ntsc.

all content i have is ntsc dvd or bluray but this series is not available in bluray and this was the only option i had to watch in HD

i don't think the concept of PAL and NTSC apply to HD, most legally downloadable HD content i have seen is often in 25fps or 30fps; i don't see why the OP should be having problems viewing that content, maybe he should try a different software player.

i've already seen this, but, i dont want to spend 53$ on seasons that i already have. i compared the first episode on dvd and the episode that i made with avidemux and it became a lot better than 25fps version, but i think that dvd version audio looks better than converted audio

in 25fps this series have a little speed up, making the voices and songs looks weird, and if i can change the frame rate to original 23.976 the playback would be a lot better

keep on lying and changing the "story", the hole you dig is your own. the illegal copies you have aren't going to look or sound any better if you re-encode them to 23.976 but good luck with it.

If "everything is different, even the opening song" - then it won't sync if you replace the audio and slow the video

They might be different versions, edits, different cuts, different intros

if i want i can buy this whole series on amazon but i dont want to waste money in something old. i am a big fan of this series since two years ago when i bought on amazon the dvds, can you imagine how much i paid of taxes to it arrive in my country(Brazil)? is like 4 times the price of the box, i dont want to spend any more money on something that i already have, if you cant help or dont know how to help just leave.
is like game roms, if i have the physical copy, cant i have the same copy on my pc?

i already converted the first episode to 23.976 and it looks way better than 25fps version, and the length was the same than the episode on dvd.
the 25fps version is a 23.976 version with a little speed up, i just want to revert back to original speed.
