Lg dp822h

I have been trying to unlock the LG DP822H. It is made in 2012, so I am not sure if the ability to unlock regions is closed.
I have tried the new hack listed-- open tray 000 on remote, but no luck.
Also tried the CDR with the LG5000 hack. No luck...
Does anyone have any other ideas?

Crap. That hack just got posted yesterday.

It could be any of the following.
1) Your model has a more recent firmware than the one the hack works on. Find out your version and look in the internet for older versions and see if you can install an older version. Note that some players do not allow you to ever downgrade firmware.
2) The hack does still work, but only models sold in another part of the world (ie. Australia).
3) The person who posted the hack left out some critical bit of information and without it, the hack won't work. For example, maybe you need to press "0 return 0 return 0 return" instead of the "000 return" that the hack implies. This is not a common problem, but it does happen.

Since this is a DVD player, you've got a better chance of finding a code than if it was a BluRay player. Good luck. I'd look into #1 as the most likely.

thanks for the reply. Cant find anything on firmware downgrade. This player seems not to be popular.
