    I had avidemux 2.5 on my system but had synch problems after editing mkv x264 videos so I thought I would upgrade to avidemux 2.6.1. So now with 2.6.1, every time it goes through opening up the mkv video opening clusters and images, it completely shuts down. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it to another partition and the same thing happens. I installed 2.6.1 on a friend's computer and it works fine. How can I fix it to work on my computer?

    did you test the same video on the friend's computer ? did you test the same avidemux version ?

    Yes, I did. Same video. Same Avidemux version.

    No idea . Maybe your computer is unstable ? Hardware issue ? Maybe OS differences ?
