Help needed!! Never had problems with Fairuse before and have just purchased 3D R2.

Keep getting the message: unable to read partition descriptor invalid LBA

Have seen the comments above on this but to no avail - can you help?

What exactly is Fairuse? Do you mean FairUse4WM or something else? Include a link if you mean something other than FairUse4WM. I've never heard of anything called Fairuse so maybe you are using a program that's not very good and you just don't know about anything better.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? What do you mean you "just purchased 3D R2"?

You're skimpy on details, so as long as you refuse to provide them, all we can do is guess. Probably not in your best interest for us to do that.

I guess jbasset means Fairuse Wizard. Latest version is 3d r2.

When do you get that error? When starting it or starting encoding or what?

And do you really need the latest version?

Baldrick, many thanks for your patience and understanding. As someone who is not au fait with the technicalities of software it is much appreciated rather than condescending unhelpful comments.

I have used Fairuse Wizard for many a year to rip DVD content I have recorded from TV to convert to av files. Recently I bought the new version of 3d r2 and used successfully for a few weeks.

Now however when I try to create a file I get the following message:

The DVD filesystem could not be located >>>Unable to read partition descriptor, Invalid LBA

Now due to my technical deficiencies, this means nothing to me but would appreciate some help in solving the problem.

Does it happen with all dvds?

You could try install anydvd or dvdfab passkey as dvd rippers. If you are rippping and converting from commercial dvds.

It was working fine last weekend! I only use DVDs that I have burnt from TV programmes to use in the classroom - not sure if adding the programmes you mentioned will help

Nope, they wont help if you are using home burned dvds.

Can you play the dvds on your computer? With for example vlc media player. Because it sounds that fairuse wizard can't access the dvds at all.
