Problem with: HDConverttoX from DVB-Viewer

Hello! I'm recording TV with DVB-Viewer and trying to convert it with HDConverttoX but I have a problem.
When I choose the video file that I have recorded and it start the "Analysis" of the file I get this error 9/10 times!

Do you have to use hdconverttox? It looks like it's no longer developed.

I would consider using vidcoder, video to video converter, tencoder or maybe the advanced megui.

I have tried many others programs, but hdconverttox was great when it worked. Since the audio source was not always the same and it had the option to encode it with Nero AAC Audio. Im doing some PDTV and used hdconverttox but now it dont work anymore. I will check your tips, but I think it is rather strange since it worked before with the same typ of video file.

So what has changed since it worked? Maybe installed some other video software/codecs that causes the analyses to fail.

Have you tried reinstall ffdshow, haali, etc?

Well I have been trying diffrent metods like 3 days in a row. Have followed guides to set up hdconverttox for Win7 and have been trying diffrent settings in DVB-Viewer that I'm using to record with and installing/reinstalling diffrent codec. So i was hoping that anyone myebye have seen this problem before or might have a hint of it. I did use hdconvert on a few video files thought, then it started to strugle. And yeah I have done that, but I'm not allowed to convert with ffdshow for PDTV.

You haven't filled in your computer details, but I can tell you one thing: HDConverttoX refuses to work on my Win7 64 bit install. Too bad, I liked and used it on XP. But yeah, it's no longer being developed anyway.

I'd try some of Baldrick's suggested alternative programs.
