I am using the default SVCD template for TMPGEnc. When I burn the file to a vcd using nero burning rom the audio sounds like it skips but the video is fine. I downloaded the svcd_ogt_test_ntsc.zip from this site and that works just fine. I dont know what is different about that file than the one that I made using TMPGEnc. I have a Philips DVD703. I use the default template for a VCD and it works just fine. Place help!

I had that problem too, although with the demo I downloaded from this site -- The video played just fine, but the audio would stutter horribly. I found however, that if I create the SVCD with TMPGEnc in two separate steps (first create the video using the option "Video Only" then quickly create the audio afterwards by enabling "Audio Only") and then multiplex them together using bbMPEG afterwards, everything works perfectly. Try that solution first.

Though I use VCDEasy to burn my SVCD and not NERO, I've heard that some people have problems related to NERO itself. If you find that multiplexing with bbMPEG does not solve your problem, perhaps try burning with VCDEasy (or even create just the bin/cue with VCDEasy and later burn with CDRWin or something else).

For me it's quite ironic too -- Sanyo has actually told me via e-mail that my model of player does not support SVCD's. Yet, if created "properly" (so far I've had success with video bitrates upwards of 2500 working fine), it will play them perfectly Alas, I've been making VCD's for over a year now, and now that I've discovered how to make SVCD's work in my player, I get to go through all the testing on RW's again But hey, my SVCD's are coming out twice as good as my VCD's ever did, so I'm up for the challenge

I have figured it out my compression rate for the audio was to high I set it to 112 and it worked. Have not been able to test other rates because I ran out of CD's.
