  1. This is my first time ever on this website, so I hope I'm doing this right

So basically my problem is that whenever I open Protype Titler on Sony Vegas Pro 8, and I try to give my text an effect through 'Collections', I keep on getting an error that says,

"Unhandled exception has occured in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.

Unable to find an entry point named 'MultiplyChannel' in DLL 'CoreGraphics.Native.dll'."

The thing is, it was working fine yesterday but now it's giving me the error. I did try to click continue, but the error keeps on popping up every time my mouse hovers over the preview screen for Protype Titler. Help? How do I get the error to go away? Thanks so much.

  3. Did you try the Vegas forums? Maybe a graphics card problem? (IF you have one) You didn't tell us much about your computer specs so it's hard to answer you. Vegas Pro is now up to version 12 so you may want to try that and see if it fixes your problem. We assume that you have deleted your version and re-installed it? Did you do that?

are you talking about the collections in the effects tab within Protype Titler? they should work fine. if not do what treetops said and uninstall vegas/reboot/re-install it.

  5. I do have a graphics card, and it seems to work fine... I can re-install it, see if it works.

This error even happened before, since I had to clean out my computer entirely because of a virus. I re-installed Vegas after cleaning out my computer, and the error keeps on coming up. I wasn't as bothered by it before since I didn't use it as much, but now I'd actually like to use Protype Titler and it won't let me.

When you uninstall Vegas, you have to delete the common files folder too.

  7. So what I did was I uninstalled then re-installed it, and it worked the first time I opened a Protype text but then I tried to open another one and I got the error message again. Where can I find the common files folder?

Right there under the Sony main folder.

  9. I don't think I have one, I looked everywhere and I can't find it. My Vegas isn't bought, it's downloaded off of the internet. Maybe that's one of the reasons?
