The oldest file I personally have archived is an MJPEG AVI from my Iomega Buzz, stored on a CD-R that was burned in 2001. It's a crappy 320x240 conversion of a VHS tape that I still have, so it's pretty useless.
So many others deleted or lost over the years...

1994-95?, 320x240, 15fps Mpegs captured with a Creative Labs Video Spigot from Beta.
Super low quality by today's standards, but surpisingly watchable given their historical value to me. -

lingyi: 1994/95 is crazy old to me. I'm amazed you had the HDD space to capture then. -
Late 2001 for me. VCD capture of a laserdisc using an ATI All-in-Wonder card.

I don't have the files any more but I started with video capture in about 1986 or 1987 with an Amiga.
