LG blu-ray region free - how do I burn the file to CD-rom in ISO format?

I have a LG BD300 that I am trying to make region-free for non-blu ray DVD's.

I have downloaded the 6000.zip file per these instructions:

Problem is the cd-rom isn't readable by the DVD player for some reason, so I assume I am not burning it properly.

Any advice on what software to use to burn ISO, not joliet?
I used CDBurnerXP but having trouble.

Try ImgBurn. It's free and it should default to the right settings for you.

It could also be your media. Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden (you'll have to buy TY online) generally make the best quality CD-Rs. If you are burning to CD-RW and didn't tell us, that could also be part of the problem. I recommend only Verbatim if you're going to try CD-RW. Try ImgBurn first before you look into different media.

If an ISO file is into the zip file you just open it with imgburn and burn it away.
Adjust the FS to ISO9660 without extensions if necessary.

Also remember to BURN SLOW, preferably 8x or 16x or even slower!!

Thanks - the current folder & file structure is as follows:
RMTM0000 > SCARLET > kpjc19_1.dvd

So, it looks like its not a .iso file in the zip, but a .dvd file.

Do you think this needs converting to iso before I use imgburn?

All the instructions seem to indicate burning the RMT0000 folder & its subdirectory on the root of the cd.

I did not think I needed to convert the file.
Could you confirm?

I've never heard of .dvd. That's not a normal extension.

Maybe your real problem is that your player only accepts firmware on DVD media, so the real problem is that even though the file is small enough to fit on a CD, it needs to be burned on a DVD. If you needed to convert it, they would tell you how. I am sure that you do not need to do any conversion. I've never heard of or seen that being necessary.
