  1. Hi,
Bear with a newbie but I HAVE searched and can't seem to find a solution.
I've recovered recordings from dying HDD in my PVR (Humax 9200T), so I have a folder of TS files and I'd like to put some on DVD.
Common suggestion seems to be to use ProjectX to demux the TS files so I used the "ProjectX for Beyonwiz" Guide to set up parameters
Problem is that, whatever setting I use, the final result is converted to aspect ratio 4:3.
I've tracked the issue to a file with suffix *.sup.IFO created by the ProjectX demux which contains element DAR 4:3 (I assume this forces the DVD creating into wrong aspect ratio).
I've checked the source TS and all the demux files using MediaInfo; they only refers to DAR=16:9 and I've checked all the ProjectX documentation I can find to try and see where I'm going wrong.
I assume I must be missing something?
    Simon.

Posted in Newbie - hope someone will re-direct as required.

  2. Have you tried another player, how are you determining the final result ?

If they are mpeg2 files (they should be if you were able to use ProjectX) then you could try restream or dvd patcher to change them to 16:9

Post the MediaInfo report of the actual TS file before processing (Tree - text mode).
PX should be giving you an audio, video and maybe subtitles track. It doesn't produce classic DVD authored IFO files

.sup is a subtitle file - if you are using my settings double check under the subtitle tab in Presettings the subtitle type is set to srt if that is what is being transmitted?

What program are you using to author your DVD ?

Also you could post the PX log

    Possible workaround.
Try authoring the DVD leaving out the subtitle file make sure you set your DVD Authoring program to 16:9 project
    or
Edit the sup.ifo file in IfoEdit to change the reference from 4:3 to 16:9
