  1. I decide to buy a DVD drama from amazon but I know the region code problems. Thus I want to clarify it before ordering the dvd. And I just see the dvd in my computer only.

    Here's my situation:
I know different region code for dvd drive and dvd disc cannot play it (although can change region code setting but have changes limit).

But can the dvd drive just "read" the dvd disc (even with different region code) so that I can create an iso file from the dvd disc?

If it can, i decide use dvd shrink re-create another iso file that is region-free.

Do anyone know my solution work or not? Please advice me and I would be thankful.

    Sorry for bad english.

    Thanks.

Copying a disc (with something like DVDFabDecrypter) will always result in a region-free backup copy. DVDShrink is old and outdated and may not work if the disc you want to buy is a new release.

    thanks for reply~

but is that possible a dvd drive can create an iso from dvd disc with different region code,
without set/change the dvd drive region code?
