I've been pulling my hair out with this particle maker, and finally getting somewhere. I've been using HitFilm.
It's not that fabulous, but I made it from scratch, not a template. The circles are 2D, but I used colored lights to shade it to resemble 3D.
P.S. Has anyone listened to that crappy music YT tries to offer for videos with no sound. Man, is that awful.

I think an interesting effect with your bubbles would be to slow it down somewhat and do a text thingy. Maybe spell out a title of a video. One letter at a time. You would put a letter on a bubble and it would display just long enough to register in one's mind then a new letter would appear and so on till you spelled out the whole title of your video. Does that make sense?

Yes, except your particles eventually fade in the background so the text would also fade away. So maybe that won't work after all.
