My Panasonic DMR-EH59 does not have inputs for HD, just RCA cables. I'm transferring movies recorded in HD from my Directv HD receiver to my Panasonic but get a warning across my screen "Your TV or its cables are not HD!"
At a minimum, I would like to be able to keep this message from appearing. Are there higher grade cables I could be using to make this message go away? Can you use component cables with RCA inputs?
Thanks

Your DVD recorder is not HD, regardless of what cables you use. There might be a menu item on your receiver to turn off the messages.

OK, thanks. The message goes away by itself after several seconds but it would be nice not to see it at all.
Are there DVD recorders out there yet that will record to a disc in HD?
