Help with file renaming during conversion with avidemux

I am trying to convert my Bushnell Game Camera pictures from an avi format to mp4 or some other format that looks good on my lcd tv.

I am using avidemux and have a batch processing script that is working with one small issue. I would like to rename all the files from PICT001.mp4 to the date they were created (ie. 2012_11_23_06_30_00.mp4).

I have not been able to figure out how to modify the script to do this. I am also having trouble bringing up the debugger to help figure this out.

Also, I just picked mp4 but any other suggesting would be appreciated. The avi source in mjpg 720x480. at 30fps. The audio is pcn mlaw mono at 44.1khz.

Help with either of these would be greatly appreciated.

this should be an easy conversion to straight DVD format
with a program like DVDflick, or similar dvd authoring/conversion program

when authoring name the DVD anything you want
