Its only a small thing, but it does annoy me.
In Windows explorer some of my folders have video files that show with the VLC and MPC file icons rather than a nice thumbnail of a frame of the video.
Do some of you get annoyed by this.
I sometimes re-encode the video and this often then shows the video with a thumbnail.
What do you think?

Instead of reencode try icaros.

Digmen1: I noticed the other day that I had a folder with mostly .mp4 files and a few .flv files. The .flv files just showed a VLC icon. It looks as usual Baldrick has pointed you to the solution to this problem.
