  1. Hi there ppl... I'm using WDM drivers and so VirtualDub has problems letting me use any of the compression codecs - any ideas? I can't go to VFM drivers since I'm on WinXP...

MainConcept has a very good DV Codec that allows capturing Type-2s (I'm using Scenalyzer now) and these go into VDub just fine. All under XP

    Tain't cheap - $50 US - but you can d/l a demo

PromotX, I've been playing around with the WDM drivers myself just lately, and having a little success. I can get to a lot of (maybe all, I didn't check) my compression codecs, in virtualdub.

What revision of the driver are you using? and what format is it set to YUYV or RGB or ?...I guess this could impact the number of compression codecs you get to choose from. I also guess that any proprietry capture/compression codecs would by excluded.

(Mine is set to YUYV and huffyuv for compression, using the nvidia 1.08 driver)

  4. Thanks for your help, it has been much appreciated - I found out that the settings where on RGB555 while setting it to RGB24 solved my problems...

    Thanks
