    I have a DMR-E60 that I have recorded to for a few years now but my last 2 recordings appear to be flawed. When I insert the dvd's the process starts, then either jams or simply stops and says NO READ. Under functions there is no option to finalize.

    The dvds appear to have data burned into them but of course if the Panasonic cannot read or finalize I am also unable to play on anything else.

    Do I have any options here to see if these dvd's are OK or not and hopefully retrieve my video from them?

    You could try them on another Panasonic.

    Mostly it's your laser needs cleaning, do you clean it a lot?
