OK, I am using disc as imput to edit in virtuadub mpeg2. It is interlaced, so there is mice teeth. I am using the deinterlace, the one that says thats the best, I am using sharpening by about 5, but my video is coming out like a weird internation conversion, if you have ever seen those or like a bootleg for anyone who hasnt. I would like for the resulting avi file to come out closer to the dvd input so i can keep it on my hard drive. The reason Im doing this is because Im trying to put these files into a media center and phase out of DVDs. I would like to know what filters would be best suited to achieve this, if at all possible. The deinterlace does get rid of the mice teeth, the sharpening gets the picture a little crisper, although still not as clean as the original. Also Im using h264 codec in the save, so it taking forever on a 2 pass with process analyzer to boot. help would be greatly appreciated.
