  1. I am trying to copy a noncommercial dvd-rw (dvd-r format). I can duplicate it as is, but the problem is that the dvd has two titles, the second of which is empty. How can I copy this dvd, getting rid of the empty title but retaining the rest? Thanks.

You can use dvdshrink in the reauthoring mode to remove second title.

  3. Thanks for your help. I got it to work - sort of. I got the unwanted title out. However, the remaining title originally had a name and that is no longer on the new dvd. Also, the new dvd has somehow turned into autoplay (is that what it is called?): it begins to play as soon as it is inserted into a dvd player. What did I do wrong? Thanks.

  4. You did nothing wrong. That what Shrink does in reauthor mode. No menu and autoplay.

If you have a DVD with menu and want to remove a title, try VobBlanker. Although that won't remove the menu button pointing to a blanked title. There's a way to remove that as well, but it's been so long since I've done any DVDs that I've forgotten.

Maybe someone else can tell you how to remove the menu button. If that's what you want to do.

    Good luck.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!
