    Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows of a free rtf editor that lets you switch to a black background & white text (or anything similar). I need something more gentle on my eyes. Spell check would be good, but not necessary. There are tons of free text editors out there from basic to full word processors. I have tried some, but none of them have this dark background/light text option.

    Libre Offce Writer: Tools -> Options -> Libre Office -> Appearance -> Document Background -> Black.

    I tried all these suggestions, thank you all very much. QJot is perfect, simple and straight forward just like wordpad with some extras. Thanks!
