  1. Hello, I dL toolame and followed the instruction on using an external encoder for tmpgenc by going to environmental settings and checking layer-2 then i browsed for the toolame.exe and could not find it. When I dl it and open it with winzip and was a text file only.

tooLame is a separate "product". You must download it separatly and, preferably, copy it into the TMPGEnc directory.

    TMPGEnc is a freeware/Pro product.

tooLame is free under the GNU license and, as such, it can't be included in a commercial product, nor can a program derived from it.

For us users, the people who contribute their time and skill to develop freeware are phenominally generous and deserve our thanks and our support!!!

To install Toolame to work with TPMG this is what you do:

In TMPG, select Options --> Environmental Setting --> External Tool Tab --> Click on Layer 2 --> enter the location of Toolame.exe.

Before doing this though, one should go to VirtualDub and create a . WAV file. Then place the name of that .WAV file in TPMG as the Audio Source.
