for those of you that use tmpg to do your converting, what do you do when your trial runs out?

do you just reinstall it or something?

  2. I thought it's free. I have 2 versions, the new one and beta F, and both of them are not trials.

i haven't reinstalled it since changing to win2k, and i wanted to clear this up for myself before installing it again.

i swore it was a trial!

The MPEG-2 encoding is available on a trial basis. Once that expires you'll have to revert to MPEG-1 encoding, or stop "backing up" movies and investigate a new hobby.

    that's what i thought.

but some people here use tmpg continuously.

so.. do you just reinstall the software? or does it leave traces on your pc as proof that it was there before?
