All of a sudden, on a Compaq notebook running XP, when I invoke Task Manager, all the options are missing, as shown in the attached screen capture.
I thought perhaps TM has gotten corrupted, but I copied TM from another computer which shows all the options (tabs, etc.), but the same thing happened.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Never mind! Found the solution by using better search terms . . . . When no options show, TM is running in something called "tiny mode," invoked if you double click in the blank part of the border. Double-clicking again restores full features. This was clearly a self-induced ID10T error.![]()

hi, go to menu, View\Select Columns..
choose whatever fields you want to see.
edit: nevermind, you found your solution -
Thanks for the suggestion, vhelp, but when in this new-to-me "tiny mode," there is no way to get to any of the menu options. You have to be OUT of "tiny mode." ["Tiny mode"? Who came up with THAT one?]
This learning experience came on a notebook that has a very hard-to-click left touchpad button. I obviously accidentally double-clicked in the area which activates TM, probably trying to get just a single click.
Live and learn . . . .
