Hello,my name is Odysseas from Greece.
I have problem with compatibility between my BD player,BD recorder and BD-R discs.
Specificly..
I have Denon BDP 2012UD player.
LG BH10LS30 BD burner drive on my PC.
I am using Verbatim-Japan 50GB BR discs.
I also use "TS muxer ver 1.10.6 " and "Img burn ver 2.5.7.0." as softwares.
I always burn at speed X2.
Now the problem is that I want to make copy of ten original movies I have, and I want the copy to contain oly the video file, audio ENG dts master audio and I add Greek subs. All the additional informations are deleted in order to make less the needed size.
So I burnt 6 movies and the three of them played perfect on my Denon player but the other three played 2hours!!! and the last ten minutes the player stopped the reproduction, because it couldn't go on.Then I tried to burn again one of the "defective" movie and played again 2hours and stopped in the same place. Is this possible?
Why does it play almost all the whole movie and stops at the end?
If it was matter of compatibility it shouldn't even start the movie. And why did it play the other movies?
Notes:
The three "defective" movies played perfect on a cheap bd player I have and on my PC!
The Denon manual says that it doesn't support BD-R,Pirate movies and this kind of stupid things.
I would really appreciate any help, thank you very much!
The discs I am using have this features:
Verbatim BD-R DL Double layer Ver. 1.2 (Speed 1 - 4X)
** Recording Surface on BD-R Made with
unique MABL (Metal ABlative Layer)
** Mitsubishi Kagaku Media's Own
SERL (Super Eutectic RecordingLayer) Film
on the BD-RE
** Advanced Surface Protection Layer
(Cover Layer, Hard Coat Layer) hybrid!
** Precise Spin Coating Method
** High Precision Mastering Technology
** Inkjet-compatible Label
** Scratch resistance
** Smudge resistance
** Dust resistance
** Maximize Optical Media Performance
** Safeguard of Your Irreplaceable Data

I guess the burned bdr works fine on your computer?
It's usually a bd-r media issue if you can't play the end of the movie. Maybe try another brand.
And I'm moving you to dvd writers section. The dvd recorder section is for desktop dvd recorders. -
Yes it works fine on my computer(the "defective disc")..
I have also writen 15 JVC-Tayo Yuden discs (25GB) and they all played perfect..
Vey strange behaviour!
But if you say there is matter of BD disc, why did the others 3 worked fine??? -

If you encounter issues with some media/burner combo then better avoid them.

My problem was solved when I changed the writing speed at the minimum (2X) !!!
*Before I was using variable (2X-8X) and I simply changed the option in Img burn software...
Since then the problem never again occured..
Thanks for your help !!!
