    Hi,

When I downloaded MPEG2 StreamClip for PC, I did not get the following, volume or slider (or scrubber). I have the correct version of quicktime alternative installed. I've tried this on the Laptop and PC. Here's a screen shot of it:

Thanks for the reply but they don't appear even after the video is loaded and I can't get any audio when the video is playing through MPEG Stream Clip.

Maybe there is something wrong with the test file ? Did you try other file types ? Although it mpg - it says DVD video recorder - sometimes they record non standard filetypes

I did not try another file. However, there is someone else in our building that is working on these same DVDs and they have had all of the controls of the program show up. Here's a screen shot of her MPEG2 Steam Clip:

I've tried BOTH versions of MPEG2 Stream Clip on all computers and get the same results.

Here's a look at the files from one of the DVDs:

Any setups in MPEG2 Stream Clip or QuickTime Alternative I should double check?

    Thanks,

    Patsaw

I just tried both mpeg streamclip 1.2 and 1.2.1 beta 6 with quicktime alternative 1.81. Same bug. And I'm also running win7 64 bit.

BUT the hidden scrubber works, try drag in the black area at the bottom...

    Hi Baldrick,

Thanks, I tried dragging in the black at the bottom. However, this is very cumbersome and I still have no volume control. Thus, I am also not able to hear the audio in MPEG2 StreamClip. Can you hear it? I am able to hear the audio when I play the DVD in Windows Media Player.

    Nope, no audio.

  15. Maybe use actual quicktime?

No problems here, 64bit Win 7, Streamclip 1.2

  16. I asked somewhere else for help and was advised to install a codec pack from http://codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_mega.htm but that didn't work.
