Hi folks
I bought a new video camera (Canon Legria HFM40), and found I couldn't import the footage into Premiere (I was using CS3). I've since upgraded to a new computer, with CS5.5, but I still can't import it. From what I understand .mts files should be fine in CS5.5....?
I got them onto my computer using Canon's VideoBrowser software, and they have put themselves here:
C:\Users\Rachel\Videos\Import Video Data\TVD_AVCHD\20120527\20120527
Anything I can do other than fork out more money for some conversion software? I used a trial version of cineform neoscene to do my last lot of footage on my old computer with CS3, but of course I'd rather import it directly.
Help?

Thanks Baldrick, that link led me to another which was from a guy here in New Zealand who had the same problem due to our timezone of all things. I'll follow his instructions and see if that helps, thank you
