Looking for recorder with HMI & HDD to record XBOX

Hello,

I am looking for a recorder that has HDMI & record to HDD, I playing daily & want to capture all my games.

I found some stuff but it's need pc or don't had HDMI.

Where do you live? In North America (and probably South America) there is no standalone video recorder with HDMI input, and perhaps never will be. HDMI was primarily designed as a playback connection, it is full of record-restrict technology, so most people find it useless as a recording connection. It is true gamers find it useful, but the percentage of people wanting to record game play vs movies or TV is so tiny no mfr is interested in serving them, except with a PC-based solution.

In Asia there are a handful of recorders with HDMI input that can record game play, such as this one. The problem is, they don't record in a standard PC format and all the data is locked to the recorder internal HDD or on USB expansion HDDs that can only be formatted and read by the recorder. If you are OK with that, and don't need to make permanent gameplay records or share them with friends, and don't mind spending $300-$500 (US$) on such a unit, you might be happy with it.

They are not easy to buy unless you live in Hong Kong, however. The mfr does not ship out of the country, so you'd need to make a friend in Asia who could buy it locally and then ship it to you. Personally I don't think its worth the trouble, when you can buy a much more useful video accessory for your PC with HDMI input for much less money.

Thank you Orsetto, that device looking great but riscky if it not suport english & if it has delay. So I think no choice I'll go with PCs solution

The Elgato Game Capture HD seems like a good choice for PC game capture.

The only HD video game capture device I know of that does not require a computer is the AVerMedia Game Capture HD (C281). However, it only records from a component video connection, so it does not meet your requirement for HDMI input. In addition, if I recall correctly, one of the members here who does a lot of video game capture has written that its video capture quality is not as good as some of the other HD capture devices he has tried which also use hardware to encode.

I watch video for AvirMedia, as you said the most good choice still Elgato till the crreat something record by it self.

With this you can record very high quality at 720p60 or 1080i60. Possibly even uncompressed in realtime. You can even record 8 channel LPCM unlike the other solutions.

The passthrough "should" be free of delay. If not just add a $25 powered splitter into the chain.
