  1. hello guys,

    Can anyone knows what is the problem for this video? I dont know why the video still pixelated? How to avoid this?

  2. You reduced the bitrate of a grainy source by a factor of 10 and you expect it to look good? A decent 1280x528 encoding that retains the grain:

    Did you mean the caused of the pixelated is from the grainy?

    I played this both on Media Player Classic and MPCStar. Media Player Classic showed the pixelated scene but on MPCStar grainy only and not pixelated

    No, he meant grainy sources require higher bitrates to be recompressed without artifacts.

    Then you have a player problem. Since we can't see exactly what you are seeing on the screen it's hard to say what might be wrong. What about the video I uploaded? How does that look in the two players?

  8. Looking at your encoded 1280x528 video here, I'm not seeing as bad blocking as your JPG sample. I don't know if it's because you saved as JPG with low quality settings. But check your h.264 decoder. Make sure deblocking isn't turned off. Here's what I see (lossless PNG):
