I'd like to go through a large collection of files and find those above a certain bitrate. Windows explorer will only list the audio bitrate. I need a way to sort files by video bitrate.

That looks like it only handles individual files. I have MediaInfo for that. I need something that can show bitrates for all files in a folder at once.

  3. Enable the Total Bitrate column in Explorer. That will be the total of the audio and video -- but video bitrate usually dominates. If you enable the Bit Rate (audio) field you can subtract out the audio bitrate yourself.

Hmm. That's close to what I need. Problem is, I'm finding it a little inaccurate. Some files are listed with a much too high bitrate. It's easy to pick out some of them. Looking at them with MediaInfo, I can tell that for files with a variable bitrate, Windows is listing the maximum bitrate.

For example, I have one wmv file that has an overall bitrate of 4139 Kbps and a maximum overall bitrate of 10.2 Mbps. Windows lists the total bitate for that file as 10128. Many other files are harder to spot. I'd rather not spend time weeding out these files if I don't have to.
