Hey guys, we have a new free video converter called FilePop that I'm looking for some general feedback on. I need a few good testers to put it through it's paces and provide some useful feedback. Anyone that want's to help will get a license code to the full version which is a Blu-Ray/DVD/Video suite that does quite a bit.
Download FilePop
You can either reply here or on that page in the comments.
Even if you don't want to be a 'tester', feel fee to download and use whenever you need it.
Thanks to all.

Something I think would attract people to your Product is if you had a pass through function and a smart render that allows one to edit AVCHD files beyond the key frame level. VideoReDo and Tmpgenc have products that can do this. With more footage being recorded in HD this is becoming more important. Also have the ability to have adequate cropping options would be something that would be an attractive feature.

I was just thinking that your video tool should have all the codecs built in so that one doesn't have to install this codec and that codec. I for one have read about how installing codecs can lead to computer instability; so I am very hesitant about any programs that ask me to do so.

Another thought has come to mind. Alot of programs, even ones you pay significant money for have poor titling functions. It is nice some times to put a name plate at the beginning of a video to describe what is in the clip. Some work in that area of things might attract customers too. Also since this is going to be a program people pay for, if you have a trial period once you have come up with all the features you intend in your program, it would be nice if the trial gives one the full functionality of the program for a limited amount of time. I think a full functional program with on trial period is the best way to hook a customer. For example I have tried the Trial Version of VideoReDo h.264 TV Suite; it had all the functionality of the program and I have decided to purchase it. I put things off by trying Tmpgenc Smart Video Render 4 and they have improved by not limiting the lenghth of file you can export, but still the whole functionality of the program is not available so I decided to get the VideoReDo one, because they impressed me with all the things the program is capable of.

Thanks for the feedback Tom, I'll bring these suggestions to the devs. As for the codecs you do not need to install separate codecs for it to work. We do have a paid version too and the demo is fully working for 7 days. We agree too that is the best option to offer.

I've only just purchased the File PopHD but all I've been able to produce so far is two Verbatim 25gb coasters. I followed the instructions to the tea trying to author a Blu ray from a stream file and the first version had image and no sound, the second could not load on any platform; and Anydvd reads it as a blank media (but there is clearly info on the surface). I've sent in a support request (with the log file) and we'll see what they say. Hopefully the support will be better that it is for the other program of theirs that I own, LiveDrive backup, where I've stopped trying to send support requests because they never reply.
