Alright I am a noob and I have check out the other post on to make a dvd to make it work.
But on some older dvd player it wont detect the video inside the disc.
Is there some way to get the disc to work for older dvd players.
Or am I just doing something wrong?
Can someone please help me out?

I use ConvertXtoDVD 5.0.0.24
and then I use IMGBurn to burn the data.

This isn't authoring. Moving you to Newbie/General Forum.
Older DVD players may have problems with some brands of DVD discs. ConvertX does a good job of conversion to DVD and IMGBurn is about the best DVD burning program out there. Then that leaves your DVD media as the most likely candidate for causing problems.
If you are using a good name brand DVD disc, such as Verbatim or similar, maybe the DVD player is the problem. If it plays most all DVDs, maybe it is very particular about burned discs or certain DVD disc brands.
The name on the disc is no guarantee as to quality. Try this with your disc: https://www.videohelp.com/dvdmediaform.php?dvdinfo=1#dvdinfo This will tell you who really made the disc, irregardless of the name on it. Some brands of discs are very low quality, so first try a different brand. And if you can post the results from that link, we can probably tell you if you are using crappy discs.
And welcome to our forums. -
How old is "older", exactly? Some old DVD players simply will not recognize recordable DVD media, no matter what you do to it; their optical blocks simply cannot cope with the lower reflectivity of recordable discs vs. stamped discs.
Some older players also won't recognize a disc unless there's a certain minimum amount of data on it. See if your software has a "compatibility mode" option that forces a burn of at least 1Gb in size regardless of the actual amount of data to be written (it fills out the remainder with empty bytes), that sometimes helps older players. -
Another thing to consider is what DVD format the discs are in, my old Pioneer player will happily play DVD-R discs but won't have anything to do with DVD+R

The O.P. didn't state what type of DVD is being used. DVD-R? DVD+R? The DVD standard disc type is DVD-R. Many players, whether old or new, will not recognize DVD+R or many "RW" discs. DVD-R is universally compatible.
