I am a newbie with video anything, but conversant with computers generally. My system is not very powerful by today's standards, but has worked well for me up to now (see my stats). I recently was on a trip where I took some damning videos while we were at a hotel where we were attacked by bedbugs and then watched in further horror as our valuables couldn't be recovered by the night clerk as we attempted to escape the place. Most of the videos were taken on a Samsung Galaxy Player (MP4) and one on a Sony Cyber-shot DSC P-72 (MOV). I want to edit the videos so that: (1) some sound is deleted and (2) a face is fuzzed out (the hotel clerk said he didn't want to be identified when the videos are uploaded).

I already have the originals uploaded to Photobucket (kept private right now), but want to edit them as described so that I may use them as part of my description of our terrible experience at the hotel and as background for how we were treated (or NOT treated) afterwards. I plan to post on TripAdvisor.com, not YouTube, with links to the videos.

Advice related to appropriate software and/or anything else I might need to know (like don't even try with my hardware and lack of experience) would be helpful.

Blurring out a moving object isn't that simple but you can for example use vegas movie studio see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FoZGtDUaDw . It can also delete parts of the audio.
