I recently hooked my Inspiron 1110 laptop up to my Sanyo 32" tv through HDMI. I then have the tv output to my JVC RX-6000V amplifier digitally with a RCA (coaxal?) cable.
The audio coming through my tv is ok, there's no loss of audio what-so-ever. The problem lies somewhere between the tv and my amp... Audio coming from my amp cuts in-and-out continuously and I can't find a way to fix it. I've tried using my desktop with the same HDMI cable and there's no problems - I'm using an ATI 4670 with it. Since I'm outputting through the HDMI port on the ATI card, the audio codecs it's using for the HDMI audio mght be older than the codecs pre-installed on my laptop. And since the amp is so old, the laptop's codecs may be too new for it. I've tried installing decoders, additional codecs, updated the audio drivers that came pre-installed on my laptop, and installed a control panel made by the driver's manufacturer, with no success of fixing the problem.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.![]()
