problems playing

Hi, my problem is with a single avi file that i downloaded from the net, playing all the others is no problem at all so i guess there is something wrong with this one, the problem is that while i am watching the movie, the screen pauses for miliseconds not big deal, and then it continues playing normally, but the problem is that this happens every 5 seconds, so it becomes kind of anoying. If anyone knows a remedy to this please help, it was really hard to get this movie, and that is why i want to save it.... Thanx in advance for any help.

perhaps you could try converting the file to mpeg?
