  1. Hello. I opened this thread a t AC3 filter forum, but i thought to open it here in case someone can help..

I wanted to ask your help regarding my Bass Configuration in AC3filter.
I'm a bit confused, although I read the manual.
I'm not sure if i should put in output format quadro or 4.1 quadro, and if I should enable Bass redirection to subwoofer.

My audio system is like this:
    I have these 2.1 speakers:
    Name: small.jpg
Views: 1276
Size: 8.3 KB
(the left and right satellites plug in the subwoofer, and the subwoofer plugs in my sound card. (so there's no seperate plug for just the subwoofer alone)

and also, I have connected 2 speakers from my stereo, to use as rear speakers.

    So, I have a custom made 4.1 (2.1 + 2)

According to the manual, I should put quadro in output format?
Because I don't hear any difference between quadro and 4.1 quadro.
But i hear a difference, if I have 4.1 quadro and I enable the bass configuration to subwoofer. The bass frequencies sound less strong (from my subwoofer). Like absent.. and seem to be going in my rear channels.

  2. I have the same problem with setting up speaker configuration in Windows XP which doesn't change from 'surround'.

I have connected L-R Front jack to an amplifier with subwoofer; and, 2 speakers - powered through USB port - to rear LR jack.

I have no clue what my speaker configuration is! The VIA HD Control panel gives options 2,4,6 and 8 channels! I wonder if there is some manual/document to explain this.
