I can't play using VLC, Gom neither MPC-HC. The device also saved some .dvr files. What are they?

So, I'd like to edit/cut/join and be able to play at computer.

    Ideas?
    Thank you.

    What is the recorder/device?

    It's probably not possible.

And this is not any analog capturing. Moving you to our digitaltv/pvr section.

  3. Thx, for your quick response.
I'm using Moozca Bravissimo Twin (cables from satelite) as device. It saves to an USB output and creates folders for each recorded show.
You mean "probably impossible" because the "encrypted" word at Mediainfo report?
    Thank you.

    Thank you.

Of course, it has the decryption key and algorithm. As far as I know, nobody has cracked the encryption used by PVR devices.

OK, I understand that nobody has cracked the encryption key used by PVR and so on, but if the device already has the key, is there no way to grab that key and use it to watch/edit videos?

The device has options to save firmware, Total Flash, Softcam, Cccam Newcamd, user data and other settings to pendrive. None of them has that desirable key?
    Thank you.

Of course not. The whole idea is to keep you from making copies that can be played anywhere. And when your PVR dies the recordings you have stored will be useless.

Even the existence of all that "tweaks" and patches doesnt mean its that easy to achieve what you might think it could be achieved with a fingersnap.... lets play real please.

Devices like pvr's are more closed systems whereas personal computers are open systems.

What that means for you is that if the manufacturer wants to hide the encryption key ... and they rather obviously fully intend to ... they can damn well do it.
