I am currently converting video clips to put onto my Ipad2.....I am using DVD shrink to rip the clips from DVD, then editing them with VideoReDo Plus and then converting them to H264/AVCMpeg4 format using Total Video Converter......Although it is working and I can veiw them on the Ipad, there are a couple of problems Im hoping you guys can help me with.....Firstly the thumbnails of the clips on the Ipad are a funny "negative" type of picture......secondly on some movement on the clips, ie a car chase, Lines appear on the screen, I have seen a similar problem years ago when i converted VHS to DVD and with your help it was an interlacing problem, could this be the same issue.......Aside from these problems, could you guys tell me the BEST format to pay videos on an Ipad.......I hope this makes some sense

Try handbrake instead of total video converter. Use the ipad2 preset.

If you still get lines enabled deinterlacing in handbrake.

I'm guessing MP4. But you probably got a "sample" clip when you bought your iPad (I know I did with my 2 Android tablets, and my daughter's iPhone). Copy it to a PC/Mac and show us a DETAILED text readout when running it through MediaInfo...
