Watching laptop on tv via hdmi

Hey guys. Just a quick question.

When I connect my laptop to my tv via my hdmi lead I get a perfect picture but after a while the pic goes funny. I've attached a pic for you to see. Top pic is laptop and bottom is tv. Any ideas???

Cable? Try a different HDMI input on the TV?

Once the problem starts, uplug the cable then plug it back in. Does it go back to normal or is it still bad? Try wiggling the cable at both ends when the problem is occurring. Any changes? Something that takes a while to go bad is often a temperature related problem.

My laptop gets extremely hot around the area of my hdmi out. Come to think of it. But it's not consistent. The pic sometimes goes back to normal quickly within a min or two but I've had it last for 15mins b4.

I think you should test the HDMI cable coming from your laptop on another television, if you have one. That blue tint and eventually turning to white happens on my Mom's 480p happens on occasion. I usually shut the TV off and turn it back on and it reverts back to normal.

Tried it another tv. Perfect 100% just trying another hdmi cable now and still same problem? So I guess it's my tv?
