Hi all
I have been blessed to be able to do some recent upgrades to my editing setup. As a result, I have hardware and software that I no longer need. Rather than selling stuff on Ebay, I have decided to just give it away and bless someone else. This will include software and hardware, but mostly software.
To start the ball rolling, I have the following item:
Datavideo DAC-200 Bi-Directional DV to S(Y/C) Composite Video Converter
This is a wonderful unit that will enable you to capture Standard Definition video to your computer through a firewire connection. It was actually used to preview After Effects projects to an external monitor. Once again, a great unit. Google it for details. Unfortunately, this unit is no longer manufactured.
Obviously, all items are used and given away as-is. The only requests I have are the following:
1. Recipient reside in the US.
2. Recipient must pay for shipping and optional insurance.
3. Recipient will actually use the item and not just have it sit around and collect dust or obtain it for the purpose of selling it.
4. Recipient will include a picture of his/her editing setup (see below).
The above are only requests with the exception of #2 and #4. However, I'd rather all requests be honored, please.
Also, I'd rather someone who can't afford to buy a capture unit have an oppurtunity to get one for free. Please be mindful of this.
The first person to respond to me via personal message with an attached picture of his/her editing setup will be the "winner." I will make the final decision and contact the "winner" via private message. I will also reply to this thread once a winner has been determined.
This is NOT a scam! I contacted Baldrick to get his ok before posting this to make sure it was OK. He gave me his blessings.
Blessings,
Brainiac

Not interested in the item myself, but just wanted to say that I thought this was a very thoughtful and generous thing to do. In a world full of so much selfishness and cynicism, it's always nice to see stuff like this.
