DL - Layer Break

I have a dumb question - I have a legal Invinvible disc that had a nice scratch on it (never lend movies to that friend again). Using DVDFab I was able to make a copy of just the movie it to my HD (not knowing better - should have done it right from the DVD). Now, I am trying to get off my HD on to a DL DVD, and it is asking for the Layer Break. I am using ImgBurn, and there are none that are highlighted. I looked up and read about Layer Breaks and understand the concept, and not wanting to do it in the middle of a song or something like that. I selected a chapter that is a little more than 1/2 way in to the movie (from what I read, this is what you want to do). Is there some real method on determining where to break, or is it just luck of the draw.

just use the dvd fab and burn it back to dvd
